"Funky" hats.

With the gifts of some of the beautiful new fun/fur./fancy/eyelash yarns, we have a new generation of hats.

Which they call "funky" and which fly off the stall as fast as they can be knitted. Pounced on with a delight that is a joy to see.

Few even get photographed,  straight into the Nunmobile they go.. but here are a few...

hats pink

hats three

Just a few rows of an unusual yarn is so effective and captivating.

When we saw adults trying to fit into the children's hats, we of course added these to the larger range.. Using bainin and cabling.

Always grateful to those who buy and to those who give yarn that we cannot afford.

Blessings this night from Ireland...

Needful updates

This is at base a disclaimer.

And a new link to a new site, as we are not using xanga for the main weblog now.

http://www.sisterdaughter.blogspot.com

Because we did not realise that adverts that we cannot control are appearing on this page.

When we work on the site, we do not see them, you see.

And of course, they automatically link to the content of the page.

Now we hear of purchases made through these, thinking that by this we are benefitting.

The only products we make are those within our postings. And the only earnings thus when you buy from the posts by mailing directly to us.

If we could find free web space that is as easy as this to use, we would move the sales page also.

Meanwhile, blessings and thanks and always prayer.

Job's Tears Rosaries....

These are our new single decade rosaries, made with Job's Tear seeds.

           jtears rosary

The spacers are of mango wood, and the Cross of Olive Wood from the Holy Land.

And a wee wooden bell reminds of the call to Prayer.

A limited number of these are available...

A rare and lovely work for Prayer.

E12 plus shipping.

Blessings this day.....

Premature babies, and shamrock

We now offer premature (Preemie) baby sets of hat,  booties and mitts, in white, and pastel shades of pink, blue and lemon.

Hand knitted by the Nuns in the softest acrylic there is.

For E20 a set, plus shipping

Photos will follow soon.

Also, as shamrock has been found here, we will be once more offering our own special Saint Patrick's Day cards.

On pale green card, each has a sprig of Irish Shamrock, laminated, and an Irish Blessing inside.

These last for many years; I have one here made eight years ago and still fresh and lovely. So they make beautiful souvenirs.

E5 plus shipping.

Please order as soon as you can as these are a limited edition.

Shamrock is rare in Ireland now...

Photos later.

Because of the recession here, we are sending more and more to sell in Canada.

The latest Christening Set went last week; in the finest yarn there is - we call it one ply here; I think a very fine lace weight there? Or maybe Shetland? It was a cloud, a cobweb, gossamer..... And it was an eagerly awaited order. Which thus will feed many babies.

Blessings this day

Christmas Babies

Our orphanage in India..

Usually we gather in around ten babies a week.

Always as Christmas approaches, this increases.

This week we have 89 tiny ones, and are borrowing accommodation.

All of us of course need to work harder to raise more money for food and supplies.

Here in Ireland, this is our slowest time. Also we have been badly let down for a fundraiser. It is too late to find anything else now.

And sales are way down of course.

If you can help, pleae message me, or email me at

Beautiful hand made treasures.

We always trust Jesus to provide - and He never lets us down.

And so often He supplies through the kindness of others.

We tried paypal, but it is a costly system to use; so we ask for cheques by post. Or dollar or sterling bank notes. Every cent helps.

Blessings this day as we work on now to save these fragile lives.

Please, help if you can. Jesus in the babies; love in our hearts.
